Do you want to learn to be a more effective, more peaceful protester?
We all have a right to use our freedom of speech to demand a redress of our grievances. Despite this right, modern protesters often find themselves threatened by hostile, sometimes violent police forces who look for any excuse to levy serious charges such as resisting arrest or assaulting an officer. Tensions can run high, especially when hecklers and counterprotesters appear.
Iana Di Bona, a member of Get Equal TX and a highly experienced teacher of nonviolent civil disobedience will lead a FREE, 3 hour class for all interested occupiers and activists. Half of her class will consist of a lesson on peaceful resistance tactics and remaining nonviolent. The other half consists of fun, hands-on roleplay with students taking the roles of protesters, counterprotesters and police.
